The Requirement Discovery feature provides the ability to pick a teacher and find possible matching items in other trackers and/or projects.
To access the feature, open the Raiqon Command Palette and select the corresponding item from the list.
The Requirement Discovery tool has two different operation modes:
Use discovery mode if you want to find similarities within the lookup scope for the items of the source tracker
The compare mode is useful for finding differences between two trackers (eg. imports from two different versions of the same document)
The workflow is the same in both modes, the main difference is that the compare mode only allows a single tracker as the lookup scope and includes items that are not found in the source tracker but present in the lookup tracker as removed in the review step.
After selecting a source tracker (the items of which the system uses to look for matches) and a lookup scope/tracker (where the system looks for possible matches) you can pick your desired matching mode.
The AI Quick Scan automatically loops through the items of the source tracker and finds matching items. This way only items that are above the chosen threshold are found, there won’t be any items with similar status, but the process is fully automated and is quite fast.
The other option is choosing Item matching. In this mode you can define a similarity threshold to define how strict the matching should be. By default, the matching process manual, but you can set an automatching threshold as well to let the tool automatically mark items above a certain threshold as matches.
After submitting the initial parameters, the second step is the actual matching flow. The source tracker’s items will be shown on the left and their possible matches on the right. To select a matching or similar item, click the corresponding button in the top left corner of the item’s card. If there are no suitable matches present, click the No matching items button at the bottom of the matching items. You can always query the system for more potential matches with the show more results button that is visible when the list of matches is scrolled to its bottom. If automatching was enabled, the tool automatically goes through the items and only stops where it can not find any items above the automatching threshold.

Scrolling to the bottom of the similar items list you have the option to show more results if there are more possible matches above the matching threshold that are not initially shown or to use a lower threshold to show a more broadly similar items.
You can also switch to Semantic Search mode to find possible similar items based on a semantic search.
The last step is the review, where you get an overview of the matching process. Matching items are shown with a green bar in the middle, similar items with a blue one and items without any proper matches are marked with orange.
Results can be exported in a CSV format or as an Excel file. Click the export results button in the bottom right corner of the modal to select which field values should be included in the export.
