The Test Planner is a tool designed to streamline the test case creation process. It uses the power of AI to first generate test conditions that cover the most important testing angles of the engineering requirement, then after a review generate actual high-quality test cases.
How to access
To start the Test Planner, click on the hamburger menu in the header part of the Raiqon widget and choose the corresponding menu item or use the Raiqon Command Palette. This will navigate to the details page of the relevant issue and will show the Test Planner sidebar.
How to use
The first step of the process is defining test conditions. The Raiqon AI will provide initial test conditions based on the issue description. You can later edit any of the existing items by clicking on them, remove them by clicking the red X button or even add new test conditions by hand. Before submitting the list, a target tracker must be selected, so the test cases are generated into the correct place. To submit the list click the Generate Test Cases button in the header.
It will navigate to the Codebeamer issue creation page with the Test Planner sidebar where you can review the test cases generated by our AI. A flashing gray box at the end of the list indicates that the process is still in progress, more items will show up in the list as they are generated.
Clicking on the list items in the sidebar will load their information into the Codebeamer form. Here you can edit the fields of the issue being created as normal. When ready, press the save button to create the issue. If the issue is successfully created, the next pending item will be selected in the sidebar.
If for some reason you don’t want to create one of the suggested issues, you can dismiss it by clicking on the Reject button in the sidebar.
